Edinburgh- Defend Rojava!

20 October, 2019 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Call for all democratic forces!
Defend Rojava, stop Turkish state invasion!

Already hundreds of innocent lives have been lost. An isis resurgence has begun. The world is simply turning a blind eye to brutal war crimes. We must not let anyone forget that the YPG/J and SDF defeated ISIS and saved the entire world.

It is time to defend Rojava and stop the Turkish aggression!

The Rojava Revolution is a shining example of system change. Over the last 7 years, despite fascist invaders at all sides, the revolution has built a society based on principles of grassroots participatory direct democracy, social-ecology, women’s liberation, pluralism and internationalism. It is in short, a revolution striving for alternatives to capitalist mentality, patriarchal mindset and the nation-state system. Called Democratic Confederalism, the system uses a federation of people’s assemblies, communes and co-operatives under workers’ control to transfer power back to local communities from the state. This offers not only a solution to the crisis of capitalism which is leading to ecological collapse but also crisis of patriarchy, of imperialism and racism and of poverty and war.

Democratic Confederalism is a model for humanity in ending domination and exploitation. The attack on Rojava is an attack on hope worldwide. We must stand with the people of Rojava, and say no to Turkish state genocide.

11,000 people gave their lives in the struggle to defeat ISIS and defend Rojava, including 10 British citizens, such as Anna Campbell. We will not ignore their sacrifice, we will #RiseUp4Rojava and stop the war on North-East Syria by the fascist Turkish state!
