Earth Day Climate Protest // Bristol Bearpit Takeover

27 April, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

April 27th // 2pm // The Bear Pit, Bristol
Held on the weekend after Earth Day, we will be holding protests across the country to symbolize the halfway mark to the Earth Strike.
We don’t want new pipelines and airports and fracking sites.
We want sustainable energy, clean water, decent housing and respect for all people.
To fight for these things on April 27th Earth Strike will be holding a protest in the Bear Pit in Bristol. There will be free music, food, workshops and a climate protest!

The Anthropocene is forcing life on Earth towards extinction.
Our planet and our future is under attack.
Governments have failed to curb the exploitation and pollution of our climate by a handful of corporations.
It’s time to take the power back and shut the power off!
If you would like to help us organise a general strike and other actions to stop climate change please get in touch by messaging our Facebook page, email sab@earth-strike.co.uk, or join out Discord server https://discord.gg/DkNQjaJ

We want to form closer ties with local unions, who will be integral to building widespread support for the strike. So if you are in a union please let them know about this date and ask them to get in touch so we can start organising a general strike together!
